1843

To meet the need for water of Jakarta (Batavia) the Dutch East Indies Goverment supplied clean water from wells/artesian wells

1918-1920

Spring water source was found at Ciburial in Ciomas, Bogor by the Dutch East Indies Goverment with 484 l/s capacity. This is the moment of the establishment of Gementeestaat waterleidengen van Batavia

1922

On December, for the first time water from Ciburial Bogor distributed to Batavia (Jakarta), and the date was then commenced as the anniversary of PAM JAYA

1945-1963

Drinking water service was carried out by Municipal Office of Drinking Water Supply, under the Municipal Public works Unit

1977

On 30 april 1977, PAM JAYA was legitimized under DKI Jakarta Regional Regulation no. 3/1977 On November 2nd, 1977 PAM JAYA was confirmed under the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs No. PEM/10/53/13350 and announced in DKI Jakarta Gazette No. 74/1977

1997

6 june 1997, Cooperation Agreement was signed between PAM JAYA and 2 Private Parties, PT.Garuda Dipta Semesta which at present has become PT.PAM LYONNAISE JAYA(PT. PALYJA), and PT.Kekar Pola Airindo which at present has become PT.THAMES PAM JAYA (PT. TPJ) for periode of 25 years

1998

1 February 1998, fully operation of drinking water supply for Jakarta was carried out by the 2 Private Parties

2001

Afrer renegotiations, the Cooperation Agreement was revised and restated (Amended & Restated) and has become effetive since 22 October 2001

2004-2005

24 December 2004 Addendum Cooperation Agreement 2001 was signed for west region (PT. PALYJA). 7 October 2005 Addendum Cooperation Agreement 2001 was signed for east region (PT. TPJ)

2008-2009

20 October 2008 Addendum Cooperation Agreement 2001 was signed for west region (PT. PALYJA). 8 January 2009 Addendum Cooperation Agreement 2001 was signed for east region (PT. AETRA)
